Felicia Johnson is a pastry chef with a sincere love for what she does.  She is a graduate of  University of Phoenix with a degree in Business.  She got her start in the kitchen at the early age of 8, working by her mother’s side.  She has been baking independently since the age of 10.

Chef Felicia Johnson served her country in the United States Navy for three years. After honorably completing her military obligations, she worked in sales for 6 years while attending school full time, as well.

In 2003, Chef Felicia decided to leave the business world and start a business doing what she loves. Her focus has been in decorated cakes and homemade, old-fashioned baked goods.  The business, Cake Luv was born.   

In 2007, Chef Felicia opened her first brick and mortar building offering beautiful wedding and custom cakes, as well as delicious brownies and cookies. 

In 2010, Chef Felicia expanded the range of what she offers and opened a Cupcakery and Coffeehouse. She offered gourmets sandwiches, gourmet salads, and homemade soups, along with cupcakes, brownies, cookies, custom cakes, and coffee drinks.

In the winter of 2011, Chef Felicia and Cake Luv made the decision to move the business to Southfield MI and combine spaces with longtime business associate, Events of Excellence Catering, headed by Gwendolyn Lewis. This decision has proven to be an excellent business move seeing that Cake Luv and Events of Excellence Catering complement one another.

Chef Felicia has proven to be a talented pastry chef for both her baking abilities and the ability to decorate and sculpt beautiful cakes.
